I hope you also had a good multi-faceted Christmas and a happy New Year!Alihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01860216271350147224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30667667.post-60420930476996115012017-01-03T11:13:08.479+11:002017-01-03T11:13:08.479+11:00Hi Shell,

Mum has no wifi and I only had my phone with me, and replying to blog comments on my phone was a bit too hard :). But I was very surprised to get your comment. I had no idea any family read along here (that will teach me ;) ...). Glad you like the blog post anyway, and I look forward to catching up when you are back down in Brisbane! It was so hot up there the last few days I vowed and declared never to go up in summer again, but I say that every Christmas :). Hope the move and relocating goes well. Thank you for doing this blog too as I find it really interesting and often touched (and amused) by the things you post. I do find it truly amazing that God in his amazing love came down to us. I look at my life and just think how undeserving I am of this. I read a good article the other day about how we are the 'pearl of great price.' We are the lost coin, sheep etc. and that we cannot find God as he is not lost but we are lost and God went to great lengths to show us how much he wanted relationship with us. It is pure love. And this is what the Kingdom of Heaven is like. Christmas is a great time to remember God's love. Yes, there are so many ways to look and interpret this event and endless different commentaries; but as Pablo Picaso said "even if there was only one truth, there would be a hundred different ways you could paint it."

Anyway, I truly hope your Christmas and New Year is enriching. All the best. Safe Travels. Stay Rad. Petenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30667667.post-42795471311874071732016-12-22T09:00:26.448+11:002016-12-22T09:00:26.448+11:00Hi Ali,

So often at Christmas much emphasis is placed on family and love, and although these are important, they pale in significance to the love that God demonstrated to us "while we were yet sinners". I don't think I'm articulating exactly what I want to say, but suffice it to say that you struck a chord with me.

I don't think we'll be in Brisbane in time for this round of your family visits, but I'm looking forward to being able to catch up at some other such time.

Love, ShellMechelle Thomsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10027216375019002045noreply@blogger.com
