I am very fond of George Herbert's poems, though I had not read this one before. I have looked it up and will have to chew on it some more to really understand it. I love the phrase you pulled out best!

A couple of my favorites are Gratefulness
Love(3)"Love bade me welcome..."

Yes, the rest of that poem is rather odd. But I totally with you on Love (3) - one of my favourites also.
